Humpty Dumpty shares his story about the day he fell off the wall and how it changed his life. After his fall from his favorite spot, he developed a fear of heights. Though he wanted to climb up there again, he tried new activities but it wasn’t the same. He decides to not give up and to face his fears. After the Fall (How Humpty Dumpty Got Back Up Again) by Dan Sanat focuses on the aftermath of the classic tale "Humpty Dumpty". The book aims to show the reader about resilience and overcoming your fear. It teaches students about fighting and facing what scares you, and encourages the reader to try again when they fail. It has illustrations as well as text and teaches the reader an important lesson about resilience. This book is gaining some Caldecott buzz and true, the illustrations are amazing. There are a couple of pages in particular where they tell the story better than the words. However, the story is your typical "don't let fear keep you from greatness" type of stories. It almost felt cliched. Yet this book had more heart than I expected; after all, Humpty Dumpty's story is usually told in comedic fashion. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
