In this captivating book for very young readers, a child preparing for bed asks for a blessing for the everyday things in his life: the moon and the stars, his night light, his cars and trucks, his chairs and table, and so much more.

Charming illustrations accompany the sparse text, perfect for the youngest readers who will readily relate to the young boy and his sweet good night prayer.

Highly recommended. ( )

This book reminded me of my own two step sons when they pray. They often pray for food, toys, their family, and friends. This book, similarly, highlights a child's innocence in prayer as they ask for their night light, cars, chairs, bunny, family, and children around the world to be blessed.
This is a perfect bedtime story for young readers who are spiritual in nature and are learning about religion and God. ( )

This picture book is about praying, the prayers of a child. The text rhymes which makes it interesting for young children to read along. Going through the book the things prayed for are as small as a toy car to all the children of the world. If someone was teaching their child what to be thankful for this would be a good start. The things the child are asking to be blessed are incorporated in the picture as well. This was a short and sweet picture book that I would use in a much younger grade. Maccarone the author, does not specify a certain religion in her text, I assume it is more of an innocent universal prayer book. ( )

Summary: this is about a child saying goodnight to all its toys, furniture, etc in the room.

personal: I thought this was a cute book. it was adorable that the child was saying goodnight to everything in the room and what was outside.

classroom: this could be a "fun" book for the students. students can just read it whenever they want too.

Beautiful illustrations and text shows a child's rhyming bedtime prayer. Help your child discover the meaning of prayer. Children need to learn about religion, help them start to understand by reading them a book. This book is excellent to show children rhyming bedtime poems that they can say before they go to bed. The illustrations also help the children see how people pray by observing what they are doing in the pictures. ( )
