John Baumer is enjoying his first semester as a doctoral student in a literature program at a small town state university in Western Pennsylvania. But, "John Baumer" is not his real name. The man hiding behind that identity is an international assassin who is taking a vacation from the rigors and perils of his profession. Yet, even in small town Wyoming, Pennsylvania this functioning psychotic's personality is catching up with him. And so is the world he is trying to escape. Now, he has to juggle his dedication to the study of literary criticism with the necessities of his profession. He needs to stay alive and stay in shape. Yet, increasingly, he also finds himself justifying his existence as a killer. This is a story of what happens when the seemingly incompatible worlds of academia and professional crime collide.(Parental discretion is strongly advised.
