What a sweet story this is and it's poem too!!! The Mystical Wood is for kids from 4 to 104. I read the poem out loud to my bunny and piggy bear (my dogs were asleep in the other room so I'll have to read it to them later) and I loved it! Even though I celebrated the 23rd anniversary of my 29th birthday last August, I am still young enough to know a great adventure when I read one and The Mystical Wood is a great adventure. I read about a giant bee without screaming, and giggled at the dragon and t-rex and enjoyed reading the poem out loud even if my bunny (Fluffums) and piggy bear (that's what I call my guinea pig Nigel) decided to sleep through the tale. It made me laugh, and "ahhhhh" and the illustrations tickled my fancy. lol When my son comes back from college, I'll have to make sure I read it to him and will let him look at the illustrations as we go. You're never too young or too old for a great tale! When I have grandchildren, very far into the future, I'll read The Mystical Wood to them as well.
