This is a great addition to a great series. I love that the characters admit to doing their cats bidding, and filling their food bowls with just a look. Any cat owner can relate. I liked that it seemed the killer was mocking Madison, body by body. Usually she finds trouble well enough on her own. I was happy to catch up with old friends and to meet some new ones. The author has a way of creating characters that I want to know more about. They each have their own quirks. I also love that the author has a theme of friendship woven throughout the series and how the characters have their friends backs. There is also a mystery in each book. I have read eight of the nine books in the series so far, and I have yet to get the killer right. I am giving this book a 5/5. Another rip roaring tale of our two adventurous women who have no time to stop still and catch their breath as they try to stay one step ahead of every one in their lives.

Our heroines find themselves in a race against time to solve a murder and along the way meet and have to conquer obstacles in order to preserve their skins.

The writer has created yet another master piece and where she gets hers ideas from to keep the characters fresh and the story moving forward is beyond comprehension. You would think by novel 9 there would be nothing left to write about but boy are you wrong. You experience all the feelings from the characters as their lives become even more embroiled and united.

A fast paced page turning novel with excellent twists and turns which will leave the reader wanting more. ( )

I have read all nine books in this series, and they just seem to get better and better. The main characters are growing and evolving, as are their relationships--with each other and with their significant others. Catching up with Mad and Fab is like catching up with a couple of good friends you haven't seen in a while, except with a little more adventure than most of my real life friends ever have in their lives!

As usual, there are murders to be solved, issues to be dealt with at The Cottages, cases that Brick wants the girls to take off his hands, friends to clear of murder charges, and lots of romance for the girls with Didier and Creole. There is plenty of humor throughout, as well.

These books are always quick, easy reads, mostly because you just don't want to stop until you find out what's going on. Each one is capable of being a stand-alone novel, but if you haven't read the rest of the series, I suggest you start from the beginning and read them all so that you can have a true understanding of the great relationship between Mad and Fab over time.

Deborah Brown has once again provided a comedy and a mystery with a little romance thrown in with Executed in Paradise. Set in Tarpon Cove in the Keys of Florida, the book has me wanted to be an island girl which is hard for this mountain girl to admit.

Madison and Fab are led on some chases in this novel that has them trying to find who really is murdering people and dumping the bodies on Madison’s property. They manage to work other cases in between trying to be sure they prove their friend innocent. Of course, their manfriends – that would be boyfriends if they were teenagers but even at their age, I have trouble labeling these men as boys – are not happy about their involvement in their cases or in trying to prove their friend innocent of murder.

Brown keeps the book nice and light, despite multiple murders and other mysteries, as is befitting an island book. While it is the ninth in the series, I have only read one or two others. It reads great as a standalone.

I highly recommend you add this book to your summer read list. I’m sure it will read so well on the beach.

I have enjoyed this series a ton since I started reading it. Fab and Madison are always getting into something. This book was no different. Again bodies at the cottages cause them to investigate. Madison gets her first case and does awesome like always. I was sucked in and finished the book fast. It is a series that everyone should read. It is fun and has twists and turns I was not expecting. Great book! ( )
