I enjoyed Cat Whys, which is formatted in the same fashion as its creator's Why? and Dog Whys?, appreciating the blend of silly humor and simply-presented information. The accompanying artwork is likewise engaging, with bold colors and shapes, and a sense of humor to match the text. Recommended to young cat lovers, to fans of Lila Prap, and to those who enjoy picture-books that blend fiction and non-fiction. ( )

Some folks are not going to like this. I'm not entirely sure why I do. But the stories by the mice are beguiling and the educational text is clear, and the pictures are so ugly they're cute, so, for me, the book works. ( )
