Some plot points were predictable but the unique elements out weights those elements. It is scandal meets YA and I really loved this book. Can't wait for the next book in the series. The characters were unique to read about and I loved this world ( ) This was great. Fast paced, action packed mystery. Basically a young adult version of Scandal. There was no romance which was a refreshing change of pace. Tess was a little closed off and we didn't get huge insight into the other characters either, I would've liked to see more of Emilia as well. It also irritated me Tess was kept in the dark so much (seriously they could tell her nothing? over and over and over again) but overall it was great. And it was really funny. Asher especially. Can't wait to read the sequel. 4.5 stars. This is awesome. This was so thoroughly enjoyable! I had so much fun. It had me in its grip till the end. Now I need book 2. (I sincerely hope the series ends up being a duology.) This was one hell of a thrilling ride. And no romance to spoil things. (oh there were hints of course...)
