I really really do read more than religious non-fiction. This was assigned for a directed readings class I'm in and it does a nice job straddling lines. I love the scholarship that was obviously involved in the creation.

But I still like Chesterton and Lewis better (as far as original thought is concerned). But this was well worth the 4 stars. ( )

A good book...each chapter provides a plethora of things to think about regarding religious philosophy and not uncommon questions one might have. I found it a mix of interest ranging from wondering when/if topics were ever going to apply to me through experiencing considerable joy in discovering I am not alone in my thinking. Although the writing often gets rather laborious, it is worth the search to discover the golden nuggets of wisdom that are there. ( )

I LOVE the caption on the front cover:

Do you feel as if you fit into one of those descriptions?

But as the jacket says "Questioning is not the problem, after all, the restoration unfolded because a young man asked questions."

Difficulties within the body of the Saints "arise when questions are based on flawed assumptions or incorrect perceptions."

SO MANY amazing thoughts and ideas are contained within these pages...

I will give you a few that really stood out to me:

Those who stand strong in the gospel and those who carry a vessel of doubts. ( )
