A good choice for an interactive story time, colorful and full of interesting pictures. ( ) A little girl decides to bake a story, adding all the right ingredients including short and long words, characters, and plots. This is an adorable meta-book about what makes up a story. The illustrations are so fun and full of extra little details that you could spend a good amount of time examining closely. The book is billed as ages 3 and up, but I think children in elementary school who are a little more familiar with story structure will get more out of it. This is not actually the title I read. The copy I borrowed from the library is re-titled 'Recipe for a Story', which I think I prefer, though both work. I heard my daughter reading this to a group of children at the library and instantly knew I'd be adding it to my amazon wish list. It comes under the category of 'I wish I'd written this!' A lovely little rhyming story about all the ingredients to make a good story. It is clever and charming and an all-around delight. Highly recommended. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
