The sentences are simple, the pages are filled with attractive photographs of the subject, and the book employs organizational tools like a table of contents and vocabulary boxes on various pages. We just read another level one beginning reader book about bears, this one by a different publisher, and the National Geographic book has a much superior delivery of information. I do think that they could have simplified the book - the sentences are direct and filled with only basic words and the specialized vocabulary related to to polar bears, but the pages should have been trimmed down to a smaller number per page. In this regard, the other bear book was much better with its minimal amount of sentences. Overall, though, in a choice between the two, I would pick this one. The information is more complete, the presentation is more interesting, and the book has a great layout. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
