Good story, good relationships, good adventures, as always. It's hard for me to write reviews for books in long series, as I run out of things to say. These are all worth reading, and largely for the same reasons: Consistent pacing, wit, plot, and adventure. This one checks all the boxes. ( ) This was a wonderful book to listen to. My friend and I listened to it on the drive to our hiking area and we burst into laughter multiple times. There was a lot of suspense and John made this a wonderful read. I really enjoyed it and I must say I was glad with how Lydia has been growing as a character. I hope that she stays as strong in the next book as well. I am excited to being the next book in the Brotherband Chronicles. **spoiler alert** Not as exciting as the last few, but I did enjoy the solution for Ingvar; reminded me of my experience as a kid. This book got me just because I was familiar with the characters and the book moved quickly. I am looking forward to the set up with the crossover characters from the Ranger's Apprentice series. 4.5 stars. Hal and the Heron crew are serving a duty ship for Araluen. King Duncan asks them to join Ranger Gilan to avert an assassination assignment by the Scorpion Cult to kill Princess Cassandra. First, Thorn stops a deadly arrow on a hunt in Araluen, and then they head off to the deserts of Arrida, where they make base in an abandoned city. Hal keep Ingvar in the Brotherband with a creative invention, and then designs a land yacht to race through the desert. Filled with many skirmishes, we get to see our favorite characters continue to rely on each other, including Kloof, the horse-sized dog. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
