A dead wasteland where cannibalism is a necessity, death your reality, and life before the radiation nothing but pictures in dog-eared magazines. Reaver is a greywaster, living in a small block controlled by a distant ruler said to have started the Fallocaust. He is a product of the savage world he was raised in and prides himself on being cold and cruel. Then someone new to his town catches his eye, someone different than everyone else. Wow!
Extreme, brutal, full of horror but also breathtaking good and wonderful. This is addictive reading. ( )

Wonderful world building! This book was satisfyingly dark and taboo. Casual hard drug use and unappologetic cannibalism?! Whaaa??If you would have led with that, I'd have just kept looking. And I would have missed a wonderful series with fucking amazing characters and deliciously mind-fucking plot twists. I definitely recommend you giving Mister Carter a chance to take you on this wild ride.

The only teensy tiny flaw I noticed is one that I saw echoed in the other reviews..(from the ppl who ACTUALLY read and enjoyed the book, as it was written.).....Not enough sexytime! The author clearly has no qualms about getting rough and twisted, yet some of the more promising sex scenes were glossed over. Boo!

Still, what a mind blowing read! Love love love! ( )
