This book had potential but it kind of fell short. I really liked the premise. A young woman meets a young prince and they have a meaningful "fling" one summer. Fast forward 10 years and the two meet again. He's happy to see the woman he had a great summer with. She's hesitant to see the man who left her pregnant. The two have to reconcile for the sake of their child and neither can stop the old feelings from returning. To me, this is one of the best of tropes. But parts of book failed to work for me. I guess to me, there didn't seem to be legitimate reasons for them to be at odds the way they were at odds with each other. They were both perfectly nice and reasonable people and the conflict seemed too out of place. I enjoyed seeing Stefano get to know his daughter, but I wished we had seen more of the aftermath of everyone finding out he has a child. Maybe more of that comes out in other books in the series. I liked this book okay, but I'm not sure if I liked it enough to want to continue the series.

A cute story that is mistitled. I enjoyed the quick pace and characters that were well developed for this type of book. The storyline was fun. I would have liked to follow these characters in other books but, the summary of Book 2 does not appear that they carry forward. ( )
