It's a pretty good series. But I miss the Abnett and Lanning Guardians and can't help but compare this series (unfavourably) to that one. After all, it's missing Moondragon, Phyla Vell, Mantis and Cosmo who were all so great and essential to the Guardians, even if they weren't in the movie. (

Sorry but I am just not a fan of graphic novels. I find them very difficult to read as my mind just skips through to all the text and completely bypasses the graphics so then I have no idea what has just happened. I admire those who read these with ease. It's movies for me when I want my Marvel or DC fix. (

The comic differs a lot from the movie, but one thing didn't change-Groot is still my favorite.
So far, I prefer the movie version of Peter, but this was still a fun read, and I'll probably pick up the next one. (

A really good overview of the Guardians story with some neat art. I really enjoyed it, although the stories are generally not connected. (

A terrific start to the series, as soon as I catch up to the current issue, I'm going to go back and read the 2008 comics. For me this series is all about the fun characters, I'd never heard of the comic and was so intrigued with the characters from the movie I had to start reading it. (
