When it doubt, create a situation where your main characters don't know each other and make them fall in love again! It may be a cliche, but it works in this book and makes the ending of the novel (and, for the time being, the series) work. I also enjoyed the experimentation Ms. Swendson has done with Katie and Owen and their various states of magic - it's been fun to see how those changes have impacted their relationship. (

That moment when you finish a series and go into immediate withdrawal because you need more. I'm desperately hoping there will be an eighth book, even though things finished up nicely. PLEEEEEEEEEEASE!!!! Please, feed my addiction and give me more Owen. And Katie, I guess. :) (
