Summary:This book talks about the meaning of the Statue of Liberty and how it stands for freedom. It is one of the largest statues ever made. France gave us the statue.
Personal reaction: It was very informational. It was very easy to read so children would be able to understand this book easily.
Classroom extentions: I could have children draw a picture of the Statue of Liberty. Another idea would be to have the children write a poem about freedom.

This book tells students of the Statue of Liberty's significance and helps them to understand part of our history as US citizens.
