Which is code for ‘how important are you’ and ‘do I need to know you?’.” Lots of really important things are covered in this audiobook, but it was longer than necessary. It was a live talk so I understand not cutting anything out, but the topics would have had more prominence if it had been shorter. I didn't enjoy the parts about anxiety, it felt like anxiety as a mental health problem was ignored/dismissed.
I hear people rave about Brene Brown and her insights into what so many have tried to put into words, but until reading The Power of Vulnerability, I didn’t totally get the hype. The hype is worthy. Ms. Brown and the Power of Vulnerability should be on everyone’s radar.
In the writing, Ms. Brown explores some very hard-hitting topics, the ability to empathize, belong, and love.
This book should be read by all. ( )
