First, I like this book because of the illustrations. The illustrations are realistic. The illustrations are actual photos of kids, which makes the reading authentic to students. There are many relatable pictures in the book for students. For example, the pictures portray kids doing various activities such as baseball, soccer, and eating. Second, I like the writing the author used in this book. The writing flows nicely and is paced well. Each page informs readers of a type of food, what's in the food, and how the food helps us. For example, "Milk has calcium. Calcium is important for strong teeth and bones." The big idea of this book is to inform readers of foods that you should eat and how they benefit our bodies when consumed. Eating healthy is important, especially when we are growing.
