It was... awkward is a nice way to put it. The short story preceding this really should have been added as part of this book, and I enjoyed it more. There were also some weird plot moments, like the whole dinner with the sister which was just strange for about 10 different reasons. DNF number 5 for this year. I think it's because I'm reading more indie authors... I was really liking this book, till the ending. The author was just revving up the story, and then she ended it without delving into one of the main character's issues. You didn't really get to see any growth from him. And she ended the story with the two characters not even toghether, and then gets them together in the last 1/2 page of the epilogue. NOT COOL. Update: just found out this is a series, so will revise my rating and wait for the next part. I really liked Sienna’s character. She is warm, sweet, caring, nurturing, kind, smart, and very endearing. Lucas Wolfe, is a sexy, domineering, controlling hot, knows what he wants arrogant rock star. Support characters Sienna’s roommate, grandmother, brother Seth, and Lucas’s sister Kellie are also very likable and real people , they round out the story wonderfully. Sienna’s grandmother is going to lose her home in foreclosure ( Lucas has purchased it), and Lucas provides a way for Sienna to save it for her. She just has to be his personal assistant for 10 days. Sparks fly between Lucas and Sienna for many reasons; part of it a past evening years before, and now their simmering attraction. The story is filled with a slow burning sexual tension that is just waiting to erupt. Once Sienna lets Lucas in, we see that Lucas is more into control and minor kink in the bedroom, as he brings Sienna’s feelings to places they have never gone before. The story ends with Sienna and Lucas separating because of Lucas’s ex wife, but things will not end this way for long, I eagerly await book two in the series as I’m dying to see how things progress and what Lucas’s ex has on him that allows her to control his life, more about the band, and Kellie. What a great book this was. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

Sienna Jensen had no plans to return home when she graduated college--after all, her dreams lie in California. But when she discovers that her grandmother's Nashville home has been foreclosed, and that the new owner has started the eviction process, Sienna has no other choice but to move back to Music City, where she comes face to face with the flawed, gorgeous man she never thought she'd see again--and who now holds the deed to her grandma's estate. Millionaire rock star Lucas Wolfe is just as surprised to find the outspoken redhead glaring at him from across a courtroom. Both infuriated and intrigued, he still can't get the night Sienna spent with him out of his mind, and the chemistry between them is as undeniable as ever. Now, Lucas is determined to do whatever it takes to lure Sienna into his bed, even if that means making a deal with her: if she spends ten days with him, playing by his rules, he'll hand over the deed to her grandmother's home. Though she agrees to the arrangement for her family's sake, Sienna struggles with the promises she's made to herself and a past that still haunts her. Soon, as Lucas's game of seduction continues, and Sienna is introduced to his dark, erotic world (and even darker background), she realizes that at any moment, she could be devoured. The first half was good. And then it became unfocused and rushed. ( )
