Emma is still in search of Sutton's killer. She has managed to officially eliminate a few more individuals from her list of suspects. However, she still isn't close to the answers that she seeks, she is merely left with more questions. This book is well written and pulls you into the story the moment you begin the book. I suppose the highlight of this book is the twist at the end. I sort of expected part of it but not all of it. It was a nice surprise added to the storyline. {reason for reading} - I have read the previous three books. I look forward to the release of the next book. This one has left me wanting more, I want to know what happens next now. It's a difficult series to put down when it pulls you into the story as you read: absolutely brilliant. I can see now why they changed the tv show adaptation so much because at this point this who done it and accusing everyone they come in contact of who it might be is pretty much annoying at this point. I give the author credit mainly because I couldn't write a book, hell writing a review is even difficult for me but all these extra books are really unnecessary and this whole lying game has become more of let's find out who else has secrets to expose. Maybe for the target age this might be fun and enjoyable but I have to be honest it's repetitive, annoying, and just boring. I hate to say it but for the first time I enjoyed the show better than the books, it's unfortunate that they cancelled it after only 2 seasons. I already own the who series and down this rabbit hole so I will finish hell maybe I will skip to the end just to see who did it so I don't torture myself any further. Again no disrespect to the author I am just not the target audience maybe in my teen years I would have definitely enjoyed this just not now. Now this is what I was looking for in Two Truths and a Lie. There is action and plot twists that I was expecting in the last book but I didn't get as much as I did in the first two books. Hide and Seek wasn't as thrilling as it could be but it did have Emma being chased by her family. Yes, this time around the killer could be someone in Sutton's family. Last time Emma became worried about Laurel being the killer when she stared daggers at her when Thayer came around. Although, it's just not just Laurel that Emma has to be worried about. Certain people in her family have started acting suspiciously in a way where Emma can't move fast enough to solve the mystery of her sisters murder. So many secrets revealed! I can't even start on how amazing the next book is sure to be. With Hide and Seek we see a focus more on Sutton's family. Some of them are keeping a big secret that could change everything. Sutton's father becomes nervous and down right scary towards Emma. She doesn't know what to believe anymore. It can still be anyone in my opinion. It's getting close to the end of the series so the killer may be exposed in the next book. Ethan and Thayer are acting very protective of Emma. It's a love triangle with only one of them knowing the truth about who she really is. I liked that there was more focus on the (albeit odd) romance as well as Sutton's family. Shepard seems to be going through everyone before the big reveal which I hope is as shocking as it should be. Ethan this time around is becoming closer with Emma's friends especially since Thayer is around. Thayer still has feelings for her. You can tell by the way he's always grinning and sitting next to Emma. It's kind of adorable. I guess I like the "bad boy" in this one because Thayer is acting really sweet towards Emma. Wait until he finds it's not her... He's going to be devastated. I wish there was more of him but at least he isn't stuck in jail like last time. I still like Ethan. It sounds like he was acting weird at the ending of the last book because Emma introduced him as his friend to Thayer so I understand his reaction now. He's the same as ever. You do get a glimpse into his home life. I wonder what's going on there. I think I wonder with everything in this book. There are so many things I feel like speculating which makes this series so good. It keeps you on your toes and it always ends with a great cliffhanger. In this fourth book of the series, the Prologue is important. There are a lot of characters to keep up with. For those readers who do other things than read books for a living, this is a valuable tie in to the previous three books. This book has a lot more action, and surprises, than book three. Sutton continues to bemoan her inability to give physical assistance to Emma when Sutton sees, or thinks, Emma is in danger. Emma likes to sneak around in her search for clues. While logical, she always gets caught rummaging through someone’s room. There was a close call at Dr. Mercer’s office, though. Thayer remains an enigma. We still don’t quite know where he disappeared to. We find out that he and Sutton witnessed something in a canyon that involved Sutton’s (now Emma’s) adopted father, Dr. Mercer. Whatever happened quite possibly resulted in Sutton’s death. Sutton’s friends and even family (Dad and Laurel) are all off again, on again, suspects. This carries on from book three, but serious consideration of dad is a new twist. Emma makes some new and quite interesting discoveries in this book, but new doubts arise. The character of Mrs. Mercer has not been previously developed. With new revelations in this book, questions about Mrs. Mercer have to be answered. Why doesn’t Emma just give up and run away? She has a few thousand dollars and some possessions hidden with a friend. Why not just disappear? Let’s count the reasons up to now. 1) There is Thayer (romance). 2) She would become a murder suspect. 3) There is Thayer. 4) There is the very comfortable, wealthy lifestyle she is living as Sutton. 5) There is Thayer. 6) There is Ethan (primary love interest. 7) There is Thayer. It seems that there are still a few issues to work out in subsequent books. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
