When I saw that it would be a Raylene story, I assumed that we would be reading about her and Earl and the relationship that crumbled one-year ago. While the story did touch on aspects of that, its main focus was on Raylene's long-lost daughter, Shannon, and a patron of the Horny Toad Tavern, Nate. As with all of Lori Wilde's Twilight Texas stories, the romance was in full bloom and all the ladies of the First Love Cookie Club were present. Overall, a short story that is perfect for a read in front of the fire, snuggled up with a cuppa tea! Can't wait to read about Christine in book number three! She works at the Horny Toad Bar in town... She wanted closure and agreed to let Nate, a returned from the war SEAL hang up Christmas decorations for her. She also put a 'help wanted' sign in the window of the bar.
