So helpful when you want to identify trees in your neighborhood. Love that the pictures are in color, and each description will often include a picture of the tree in different seasons, and also its leaves up close and its fruit. An excellent resource. ( ) I've been using this book for a while and have found it extremely helpful in identifying trees. The key thing here is the "among us" in the title. Not native trees, but just the ones you will typically see along streets, in parks, or in yards in California neighborhoods. The drawings of leaves and blooms are good, the text is excellent, and, best of all, there is an entire section devoted to palm trees, which are typically ignored by other tree books. My only complaint is that the book could be larger with larger pictures. It's pocket-size, intended to be easily carried about, and this does work. Maybe there could be a super-size version also with more pictures? I'd buy it. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
