I really liked this story, especially because the two men in it were physically pretty evenly matched. This was a nice surprise, coming from Stormy, and really worked well for me. Both are true switches and take turns not just in the bedroom but in their decisions as well. I loved that balance.

Asa is a run-away, rejected by his family and looking for a place to call home. He has some leftover internal uncertainty about being a gay man to deal with, and that almost costs him his newfound lover.

Lachlan may look and act like the big, strong rancher, but he is actually a really loving and open guy. He quickly realizes he loves Asa, and even though he is pretty sure his family accepts his being gay, he is still happily surprised when he finds out how far their acceptance goes.

While not exactly insta-love, the speed of development of their relationship comes very close. This didn't reduce my enjoyment in the least; I thought Asa's and Lachlan's enthusiasm combined with a slight hesitancy about how quickly they were falling for each other was adorable. The secondary characters were fun to read about as well, and definitely make me look forward to more stories in this series. ( )
