It seems to cover the standard bases later used by Malory, as regards the end of the Round Table. ( ) This edition brings together the alliterative Morte Arthure (c 1400) and the stanzaic Le Morte Arthur (c. 1350) in modern translation, together with useful introductions to each. These were both prime sources for Malory's prose version nearly a century later. I found the stanzaic version particularly enjoyable, but both are fine translations. Cyflwyniad i agweddau ar straeon Arthur a'r traddodiadau celtaidd hynafol sydd i'w weld yn rhannol ac yn bytiog mewn chwedlau fel Breuddwyd Rhonabwy a Culhwch ac Olwen. Mae tystiolaeth i ehangder y traddodiad yma, yn ein Trioedd (Trioedd Ynys Prydain) a'r chwedlau cynharaf eraill yn y traddodiad Arthuraidd a geir mewn ieithoedd eraill. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

The Stanzaic Morte Arthur engages with the tragic implications of the chivalric love between Lancelot, Arthur and Guinevere; the Alliterative Morte Arthur with those of the aspirations of militant chivalry espoused by Arthur and his knights.
