She was fun, did homework dances, made them third grade explorers, researchers and readers. Everyday was something different and fun. She taught them all kind of cool things like sign language and let them roller blade at lunch. One day, Mrs. K. wasn't at school, and then she wasn't there for two weeks. The principle came in to talk to the students, he explained that Mrs. K. had cancer and was in the hospital. The students write her letters in the hospital saying come back soon, feel better, and how much they miss her. As the year goes on Mrs. K. still isn't back yet. They teach the substitute teacher sign language but she just isn't the same or as much fun. The kids wonder when she will be back and ask questions like how many operations it takes to cure cancer. They have all kinds of questions but no one really has answers for them. As they finish up the year, each student write about their favorite thing about the third grade and put it in a book to send to Mrs. K. The first day of summer they were told to come back to the school and bring their roller blades because they had a surprise to celebrate their hard work from this year. To all of their joy, Mrs. K. was back and all of the students cheered. They noticed she looked different but they could still hear the loving and fun in her voice. All of the boys and girls lined up for one last time and gave Mrs. K. one last hug as they roller bladed out of the room and into the empty hallways of the school! sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
