This chapter book is especially great for any dog lovers. It is informational yet still an entertaining read. It is extremely relatable to young children because Charles and Lizzy Peterson are two young kids who really want a dog. Their mom will not let them have one (which is a common occurrence in many households), so the kids start their own business trying to find homes for dogs who do not have one. The main purpose of this book is to teach readers about the westie breed while still keeping them engaged in a storyline. ( )
