You Can’t Stop It. The stranger’s menacing, dismissive laughter echoed in attorney Dan Morgan’s head. In the heart of thoroughbred country--Churchill Downs--a major con was about to be pulled. Despite Dan’s efforts, his filly, Aly Dancer, was somehow part of the scheme. You Can’t Stop It. Dan’s dream as a thoroughbred owner was to run in a Grade I race—a televised stakes race. That opportunity had finally appeared. So far it had only resulted in threats, violence and death. You Can’t Stop It. What was the scam? Who was involved? Who could he turn to? Post time was nearing. The man’s sinister voice would not leave him. You Can’t Stop It.

February 2012 Lote

Sorteo terminado: Febrero 29 a las 06:00 pm EST

The terrorist to be feared is not one across the seas. It is the one in your backyard; the one indistinguishable from your neighbors. Redemption Day is a highly paced thriller set in Washington DC. The story is founded upon historical events and documented teachings of the Posse Comitatus. The Posse was an anti-government militia group in the 1980’s that tried to convince farmers that banks could not lawfully foreclose on their properties. Their beliefs led to the bombing of the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City on a date of significance to the group—April 19. In Redemption Day, the Posse Comitatus has returned, reinvigorated and inspired by the economic downturn and anger over government intrusion. The Posse seeks to not only wreak havoc on the country, but to actually change the political landscape. In their effort to “take back the country,” they kidnap a Supreme Court Justice. With money extorted from a government contractor desperate to win back a domestic terrorism contract, redemption day unfolds. The protagonist is Nick James, a terrorism analyst who loses his job as a result of the cutback in spending on domestic terror programs. He is one of the government’s experts on the Posse Comitatus, but he is soon framed for the killing of a West Virginia sheriff and put on the run. The Government wants him arrested; the Posse Comitatus wants him dead. Nick has to clear his name and unravel the Posse plot before April 19 arrives.

Legacy Member Giveaway Lote

Sorteo terminado: Mayo 17, 2011 a las 12:54 pm EDT

Behind the glamorous exterior of horse racing lies the gritty reality of the backside. Within this fiercely competitive world of owners, trainers, vets, and jockeys something has gone terribly wrong. As opening day approaches, one racehorse is poisoned, another has her leg crushed by a lead pipe and a third mysteriously disappears. Shock and horror grip the racing community. Then it all makes sense. Greed. The extortion demands are revealed. Stables are forced to pay protection money to ensure the safety of their horses. Despite all security efforts, the brutal killings continue. For Dan Morgan it becomes personal when his precocious two-year-old filly is targeted. Dan befriends AJ Kaine, a lonely, “horse whispering” young man. AJ is a hotwalker, the lowest of jobs in the backside food chain. But AJ has a secret–perhaps a secret that can corner a killer. With AJ’s help, Dan must crack the extortion scheme or risk becoming the next victim.
