FemSFBookswap

We love Science Fiction and Fantasy and we love SF books and stories written by women. But we didn't see many women represented on the 2006 Hugo Ballot. Thinking about why this might be, we came up with several reasons. One of which is that women who are interested in these books and this issue don't always have the resources to keep up with all the great books coming out. To address this, I decided to create the FemSFBookswap.

The idea behind FemSFBookswap is to circulate new books or magazines containing stories written by female authors in the genre so that people who want to participate in nominating can get access without having to spend a lot of money.

Here's how it will work:

We've decided to move the main bookswapping over to the Feminist SF Forum. However, we'll keep this group open if people want to discuss bookswapped books or post links to LibraryThing reviews.
