When I read throwaway romance I want to suspend disbelief -- I do not want to keep repeating "but why?" Everything both principals did was mystifying from the beginning of the set-up. He thought she was too good for him, and also knew a stupid old secret about their families he did not want to tell her, so he ditched her after making out with her once in high school. (Of course they are both ruined for everyone else after that.) Then he comes back after college where he has learned much and has banged everything that moves while she has been hermetically sealed sexually and educationally. Isabel Foster has lived without Tristan until he walks back into her life after being unable to fulfill his contract to kill her. Tristan knows Isabel was important to him before he lost all of his memories, so he just can't bring himself to pull the trigger, but he knows if he doesn't intervene, he will be dead and someone else will take his place. Isabel can't believe it when she sees Tristan on the street, but the man she remembers no longer exists, so Isabel will have to decide if she can let the past go and fall in love with Tristan again.
The Red Ledger Reborn is a bind up of the first three books in this series, and it is a fun, light mystery, spy adventure and amnesia romance, however the story is unrealistic and the characters come across as one dimensional. The memory loss part of the plot reminds me of a bad television movie in which the writer doesn't really know how to handle that type of story. There are some entertaining parts of this book, but the superficial nature of the novel and the lack of humor create a less than successful narrative. Overall The Red Ledger Reborn contains a few enjoyable elements, but not enough to persuade me to continue with this series.… (más)

Wow, what a way to end this series, Blake and Erica start out on their honeymoon, beautiful time, romantic, full of love, then they return home and all heck breaks loose.Someone has tampered with voting on the election, and guess who they are looking at? Seriously, can they not just have their happily ever after, there is so much action, drama, suspense, you will be surprised at some of the findings, look out, awesome ending, a must read! Would love a follow up on Blake and Erica' s journey ❤️❤️… (más)
WOW! Just WOW!! I absolutely loved this book and stayed up until 3:30 AM as I just could not put it down once I started it.
One of the most important things about a good book, to me, is being able to make a connection with the female lead. I loved Erika! Strong but flawed, a fighter and a compromiser, selfless and selfish, but so capable of love and so deserving of it. I absolutely loved her character. I can totally get her and the decisions she makes throughout the book. Even though you want to scream at her "NO!", you know exactly why she is doing it and that you would be doing the same thing.
And Blake, well, holy hotness!! His alpha-ness leaps right off the pages! Wow - just wow! There were some seriously hot scenes!! But he was written with such depth and character, that he was not just another rich, alpha, Dom, but a man you could respect, want to love and would willingly submit to. One of my favorite quotes from him: "That's it. Now you are going to come loud and hard and introduce me to the neighbors."
This book is full of passion, drama, intrigue, heartbreak, steaminess, mystery and love. I enjoyed book 1 in Meredith Wild's Hacker series, but I was just blown away by two.… (más)
