This is a facsimile edition of a book published in 1900, based on interviews with early Texas settlers, mostly Indian fighters. The anti-Indian bias in the stories is obvious, but the book offers valuable eyewitness history, documenting not only the Indian attacks on white settlers but the often horrifying cruelty in the white settlers' responses.
