Note that the Characters listed on the Main page are based on a Christian understanding and interpretation of the text. I've left them, even though they are definitely not what Isaiah intended, because it is interesting to see how what should be a straightforward list can be complicated by a world view. And whoever did this provided the prooftexts for it.

The commentaries are traditional or by Dr. Slotki. He thinks that Cyrus is the savior who will come from the East.

Tanach, Bible, Chronicles

Contains the Hebrew scriptures and English translation on a single page, with Jewish sources of commentary on the words of the text and some interpretations of its meaning.
The Hebrew text is that published by the Judaica Press in the Judaica Books of the Prophets. The English is from the Jewish Publication Society of America (A.J.) published before 1988.
