The narrator tells us about her daily life with her sister, who is deaf. The narrator talks about her sisters likes and dislikes, school day, and how they communicate. I thought the book did a great job at explaining nonverbal communication, and how her sister communicates in different ways. I also really liked the simple black and white illustrations, since they drew the readers' attention to the two sisters.

In the story, the little girl's sister is deaf. Her sister can't hear, but she can still communicate in her own way. Throughout the story, she does things that any kid would do like leap, tumble, and climb monkey bars. She likes to feel the vibrations of sounds. She starts to learn words like "ball" and "blue". She also has a way of communicating with her face and shoulders. She may not always understand words, but she can understand actions. This is a great story to learn from. It shows the reader how a person with a disability interacts and communicates with others in her own way.… (más)
