This book is pretty good, it's just not phenomenal. The author combines recent findings in neuroscience (by recent I mean circa 2012) with some teachings of Nichiren Buddhism to give an Eastern flavor to the messages and help it offers.

The author says he's an MD, but I don't know his specialty at all. He seems to be a general practitioner of some kind. Along the way, we are told many good messages. Accept failure, find a goal, make a vow and other such things.

It's very uplifting, and I do enjoy a good uplifting story once in a while.
