Another book from my grandmother's art library. Quite small and short, so there's not a lot to say. Definitely out-of-date by now - to start with, ukiyo-ye is usually transliterated ukiyo-e these days - and the analysis focuses on the ideals rather than the realities of the art world, but okay for a short overview. The prints, which take up over half the pages, are very pretty though.
