Patrisse Khan-Cullors is an American artist, organizer, and freedom fighter, born in Los Angeles, CA. She is a Fulbright Scholar and graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles in 2012 with a degree in religion and philosophy. She curated her first performance piece, Stained: An Intimate mostrar más Portrayal of State Violence. During the tour of her piece, came the formation of the Coalition to End Sheriff Violence and later her non-profit Dignity and Power Now. She went on to be a co-founder of Black Lives Matter. Her awards include being named a NAACP History Maker (2015), Glamour magazine's Woman of the Year 2016 and winner of the 2017 Sydney Peace Prize.
