This volume, the third in the series of "The People's France", is, in a measure, the key to all the others.Paris is the capital of a highly centralised country. Hardly any other land is so dependant, both materially and spiritually, upon its chief city as is France. The whole history of the French people is reflected in the story of Paris and in that of its monuments.
A synopsis of the geography, peoples, politics & economics of Burma, Indo-CHina areas as they were in 1944 and viewed from a British prospective. May prove a more enjoyable read for people with a particular interest in these areas. The use of more photographs /illustrations would have enhanced the reading experience.
