Ruth M. Anderson (1893–1983)

Authored by a defense and air attache at the U.S. Embassy in Budapest, Hungary during the anti-communist revolution in eastern Europe. Anderson's mission included observing the Soviet forces located in Hungary, a responsibility that intensified when the Soviets agreed to withdraw from the country.
