The first three of the Alice series by the surreally pseudonymous 'Surreal' set a new standard in the genre of erotic literature that involves erotic chastisement. Although they explored a wide range of scenarios involving attempts by men to dominate the (apparently orphaned) Alice, the plots remained credible and 'hit the spot' when it came to supplying the erotic thrill of their speciality. 'Fallen Angels' appears to be the fourth in the series, and the change in cover style is by no means all that has changed in the considerable interval since its predecessors. This book even invites speculation that the baton of authorship has been passed on. In this book, Alice is employed in a female correctional facility, although the punitive distinction between female staff and inmates is scarcely distinguishable. Hughes, the Governor, acquires a further male staff member, apparently previously a partner in shady activities, and between them they dominate the facility's draconian and arbitrary chastisement regime, dealing with a bunch of exceptionally strong willed young women. Chastisements meted out by staff and inmates are particularly extreme, and several unresolved plot threads are begun. I felt that it didn't quite match the original books, but that it nevertheless stands as an excellent example of the (M/F, F/F) CP genre. ( ) Alice: Fallen Angels continues to follow the turbulent life of Alice Hussey. As a fourth book, ordinary series would begin to fail their readers, but this series does not. If anything, it gets hotter - much hotter. The book is Surreal by name and surreal by nature. It is extremely well written and can be seen as a leap from mundane erotica. The series is notable for moving away from the usual 'short story' treatments and expanding on characters beyond the ordinary. The fourth book in the saga is just as good as the first, if not better and is well worth a read. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
