This is a sinister and disturbing mystery which I thoroughly enjoyed. Carole Perceval lives alone on a remote Yorkshire farm trying to escape her own personal demons. When a wet , exhausted and starving man appears one night Carole is initially hostile but she becomes interested in this man who claims to have no memory but is certain he is being pursued. They become friends but they are about to step into a nightmare. ( )
