Eric Barker's book has been summarized in an enjoyable and interesting way. There are 19 chapters in the original title, divided into four sections. Part I - Can You “Judge a Book by its Cover”? looks at first impressions and how we often misjudge people; Part 2- Is A “Friend in Need a Friend Indeed”? Questions what a friend is; Does "Love Conquer All"? Part 3- Examines the value of friendship inspects forms of love, and Part 4 - Is “No Man an Island”? explores our need for friendships. This summary succeeds in shortening and retelling the stories, research, examples and information in the chapters of the original book. The final section includes background information about the book, the author, a few questions over the book, discussion and trivia questions about the book, as well as the author, Eric Barker. As a follower of the author on various social media and his newsletter, I enjoy the information Eric Barker shares, his style and relevant topics. If you can’t read the actual book, this summary does an excellent job of gleaning the important information he has included. Book Summary Publishing produces ~100-page summaries of books that their author-reviewers find interesting from other authors. This summary of Eric Barker’s Plays Well With Others, a string of fictional chapters, ends with several sets of comprehension questions to ensure that the reader really had read the book. Lots of fun for anyone who enjoys keeping her or his mind nimble through reading attentively. Lots of interesting facts (or theories) that many of us may not have encountered before. The book came with this text: "This summary will give you sound advice on how to truly master and value your relationships properly." Esta reseña ha sido escrita por los Primeros Reseñadores de LibraryThing. I was looking forward to this but I was disappointed. Each chapter beginning with a short story did not create a fulfilling need. On average after one paragraph of a story the author went directly, almost abruptly, into the scientific explanation. In some instances the explanations seemed a little far fetched. The surprising science behind why everything you know about relationship is mostly wrong definitely describes my experience with this book. My impression was wrong. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
