It hurts my eyes to look at the colors used together and the high contrast look, but damn is the artwork effective. I'm not attached to any characters yet, but it looks like it's going for a "monster of the week" thing with the premise of a greater vampire tasked with hunting down all of the lesser vampires he has previously turned. The first volume might not have sunk its hooks into me yet (you thought I was going to say "teeth," didn't you?) but it has potential! ( )

The plot has a very curious and interesting start. Also, the characters are nice but after a few pages it becomes slow. The story also switches between past and present which creates a little bit of confusion. The horror element is not there, and it became a struggle for me to reach the climax. Maybe the book was not for me and it is totally my personal opinion about the book.

I can only give 3 stars for the book for its interesting plot. Thanks to Edelweiss for providing me an opportunity to read and review the book. ( )
