I'm at West Valley Community College, looking to most likely transfer to San Jose State. Terribly unexciting :-p

Northern Kentucky University. Just one more year (I hope!), except then there's graduate school in my future....which I find horribly exciting.

Is there a difference between colleges and universities in America?
6Yiggy
Essentially no, they are both degree granting institutes. However, one might be able to make an argument wherein the two may be separated on size or in degrees or organization.
For instance, the University of Texas is broken up into several smaller colleges including the College of Liberal Arts, the college of Natural Sciences, communication, nursing, the business school etc. These are the individual schools and each one handles its own admissions, degree plans, classes and junk and together they form the University of Texas.

I'm a senior at Simmons College. I'll be starting grad school in the fall at Boston University.

Miraclaire, how do you like Simmons? I'm considering applying there for my MLS (master's in library science). (I know that grad school is not really going to be the same experience as getting one's undergraduate degree, but hey, any information is always better than no information. ;) )

I'm just about to start at Santa Monica College. I'm planning on doing two years there and then transferring up the coast either to San Fran State or Berkeley.

I'm going to be a freshman at Lake Forest College in the fall. I'm not a college kid yet, but I figure I'm close enough!

Sophomore @ Linfield College. I'm currently involved in a Religious Studies major, and philosophy minor, what most people would probably consider the two most useless of the Liberal Arts degrees.

I just finished up my junior year at Rhodes College. Double major in Russian Studies and Religious Studies. I plan to live in a large cardboard box insulated with stacks of books.
