Author Chat with The Brazilian Sound, March 16-30

I'm Chris McGowan, the co-author of "The Brazilian Sound: Samba, Bossa Nova and the Popular Music of Brazil" (Temple University Press). I just published an updated, 3rd edition of the book, which has been the leading guide to Brazilian music in English since 1991 (when it was first published). I am no expert on Brazilian music. There is a contralto, though, whose voice is quite beguiling. Her name is Virginia Rodrigues. I have one of her recordings, and there are 3 or more videos on Youtube of her singing.
