Who has ever considered a book on African feminism?

Looks as though quite a few people have written such books, so I imagine many more have considered them. A tagmash here on LT comes up with obvious suspects like Doris Lessing, Olive Schreiner, Alice Walker, Tsitsi Dangarembga, and many others:

This year I've read So Vast the Prison by Assia Djebar and The First Wife: A Tale of Polygamy by Paulina Chiziane, which are both feminist. Perhaps also The Joys of Motherhood by Buchi Emecheta. I would recommend all three.

>1 VicksLord: Why do you ask? Are you looking for other members to read with on the topic? Are you looking for recommendations? .... just wondering....

>5 avaland: Call me cynical but when an author joins LT, adds the books they had published (and is the only person holding them) and then posts in a group a topic that kinda sounds like a prelude to advertisement, I just decide it is spam and ignore the thread...

Which does not mean that we cannot use the thread for a discussion on the topic :)

Not about African women, but the topic is very relevant for everyone. I read the book The Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Perkins. I think she'll be helpful for everyone.
