Found: Telepathy in English country manor

A woman returns home to the family estate in England to a family meeting (I think perhaps the reading of a will). She stays in the gatehouse, her cousins in the manor house. Since childhood she has had a telepathic connection to someone on the estate. She suspects it's with her cousin but it turns out to be the estate manager/groundskeeper's son (who still lives and works there). She finds out it's him and they fall in love. There may have been something to do with a will/who the property will pass to. There's a denouement involving a maze. I think the book was written some time in the 70s.

I think this might be Touch Not the Cat by Mary Stewart.
