First order from Centipede Press. I got a few questions.

Hi there. I got some quick questions. I just heard about centipede press and I really excited to get my first books from them. I placed three separate orders last weekend. When I placed my orders, all I received was a paypal receipt, but no confirmation or anything directly from Centipede Press. Is that normal? The site is pretty basic, so I guess it's not too surprising if they don't have a receipt system set up. I sent an email to Jerad asking him when I should expect my order to ship out and he told me it'll be shipped on Monday (today) with a tracking number. But I never received a tracking number today. Is there a place on the website where I can track my order or something? I doubt it, but I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing the confirmation emails to track my order or something like that. Does Jerad just manually send the tracking number through email when it ships? This process seems kind of different from other websites where they have a tracking page and order confirmation emails. I know this is probably something I should just ask him directly, but I feel bad because I was bombarding him with different questions I had all weekend and I don't want to be too annoying lol.

The PayPal confirmation-only as a receipt is definitely normal.

I think tracking confirmations do eventually get to you but I don't remember how. I've never had a problem or concern with their shipping before, though; I wouldn't worry. It is a small shop; Jarad enlists his family to help move product for busy mad rushes.

I see. Okay that makes me feel better knowing it's normal. I was just a little worried because my post office is notorious for losing packages, so I gotta keep a close eye on the tracking numbers for all my incoming packages. Thank you!

Jerad is more or less a one-man show, so the order and confirmation processes are not quite as sophisticated as you might have come to expect. Typically, you do not get an email confirmation aside from your PayPal receipt. You *usually* will get a shipping notification with a tracking number, but not 100% of the time.

I didn't get a tracking notification either, but the package had one. It's just not an automated system and I can understand that doing everything manually would be rather a lot of work.
