Subcategories

i'd like to see a feature where we can create subcategories within a collection

I don't understand why they don't make this a join to post group and then only allow staff to join

What they might be able to do would be to allow only staff to start a thread. Another site I'm on did that with their Announcements forum. Others can respond in a thread, but can't start one.
