Any thoughts as to why Keane was killed?

Keane must know some information about the killings or the murderer.

He knew something from the earlier years. That may be why he said his past was coming back to haunt him.

Now that the bodies have been found he probably knew he was going to have some things to answer for.

He either knew something or had something that someone wanted. How long did Joe take to discover the body, call yourself a detective! I was screaming at him that there was a body in the flat.

Keane had some information that could damage someone. I think the Prof. may be tying up loose ends. Vera had better get a move on, before all the witnesses are eliminated.
