What is your initial impression of the book? Pleased to be back with Vera and Jo? Are you enjoying the story?

I'm liking this book because I want to know more about Hector and Vera's early life. Don't like how Vera is treating Joe.

I like the book because of the characters. So far I'm not exactly caught up in the story line.

This has felt very readable so far, more than I remember from the books. Enjoying being back with this group. I agree with Eadie Vera needs to change her behaviour to Joe. Will be good to learn more about Vera’s background.

I'm glad to be joining Vera and the team again even though I have a hard time liking her. The stories usually have something unique that makes them a bit different from other police procedurals.

I've always been of two minds about Vera. Don't much like how she's treating others, but she does have an affinity with people when they're witnesses.

I'm enjoying being back with Vera and the gang. The story has caught my interest, I'm ready to read on...
