Ok, gave up for now The Poe Shadow..just didn't get in to it..so started and finished The Unforgiven by Patricia MacDonald. This book captured my attention from the start and never let go! A women gets out of prison after spending 12yrs behind bars for a crime she didn't commit. She starts over in a small island town with a new job and outlook, but things start to slowly go wrong and she begins to wonder what is going on! Some goos twists and turns in this book that makes it enjoyable to read all the way to end!!

Now going to read Book 2 of 'His Dark Material' series The Subtle Knife ...

I just finished reading Writing in a Age of Silence by Sara Paretsky. Small book, powerful message (138 pages). The Age of Silence is the current age of concerns about loss of personal liberties, censorship, the implementation of the Patriot Act, etc., etc. She has a very strong message!

Currently reading Mr. Adams's Last Crusade: John Quincy Adams's Extraordinary Post-Presidential Life in Congress by Joseph Wheelan. This biography focuses on his service as a Congressman for seventeen years after he left the White House following four years of a basically failed Presidency. He, of course, was the son of the second President, John Adams.
